WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A HOO SEB-CLEAR TREATMENT?

HOO SEB-CLEAR is performed by a board-certified dermatologist in our clinic. The procedure can be completed within 20 minutes, depending on the severity of the condition. Small pricks will be felt when the micro-needle is inserted on the lesions and the radiofrequency is applied to destroy the overactive sebaceous glands. Any discomfort will be minimized using topical anesthesia.

HOO SEB-CLEAR is not recommended for pregnant women.

HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NEEDED TO SEE RESULTS? IS THERE DOWNTIME?

The number of sessions needed will depend on the assessment of our board-certified dermatologist during your skin consultation. However, you will see visible results after one session of HOO SEB-CLEAR. There is about 2 to 3 days downtime.

WHAT IS SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA?

Sebaceous hyperplasia is a common, benign condition where there is an overgrowth of sebaceous (oil) glands. These glands are typically associated with hair follicles and are responsible for producing sebum, an oily substance that helps lubricate the skin and hair. Sebaceous hyperplasia often appears as small, flesh-colored or yellowish bumps on the skin.

CAN HOO SEB-CLEAR PERMANENTLY TREAT SEBACEOUS HYPERPLASIA?

HOO SEB-CLEAR is a near permanent solution for sebaceous hyperplasia. Using precision radiofrequency, HOO SEB-CLEAR involves the use of a fine, insulated needle that delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to target and destroy the enlarged sebaceous glands responsible for the condition. The treatment aim`s to selectively damage the overactive sebaceous glands while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues.
