HOO SUBCISION
HOO SUBCISION is a minor in-clinic procedure that is designed to release deep tethered scars that cause those rolling and depressed marks on your skin.

~ 60 - 90 minutes (including time allotted for topical anesthesia, depends on severity)

4 to 6 weeks
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING A HOO SUBCISION TREATMENT?
The procedure starts with numbing cream or local anesthesia to keep you comfortable. Then using a fine needle or a special cannula, we gently release the fibrous strands tethering the scar down. This creates a controlled micro-injury beneath the skin, stimulating natural collagen production as it heals. The skin gradually becomes smoother and more even with each session.
WHO ARE THE CANDIDATES FOR HOO SUBCISION?
Subcision is a great option for those patients with rolling, pitted, or tethered scars or those patients who have already tried previous treatments such as chemical peels and lasers.
HOW MANY HOO SUBCISION TREATMENT DO I NEED TO SEE RESULT?S
Most patients need two to four sessions for a visible and long-term improvement. Improvement from subcision is generally permanent, but acne breakouts can still create new scars. Hence, controlling your acne is important.
IS THERE DOWNTIME? IS IT PAINFUL?
Subcision is generally well-tolerated. We inject a local anesthesia or apply numbing cream so you're comfortable. At most what you would feel would be light tugging or mild pressure. So yes, there can be mild swelling, bruising or redness a few days after the procedure. This is completely normal and is part of the normal healing process.
